Duties and responsibilities:
The ophthalmologist is a special kind of doctor who works with diseases and illnesses of the eye. An ophthalmologist can be confused with a regular eye doctor because they have similar duties but they are not the same. An ophthalmologist can perform eye surgery and treat eye diseases. An ophthalmologist can also examine eyes and prescribe contact lenses.
Salary: 197,000
Education: Two years of medical school plus 3-8 year internship. State licence also needed.
Demand: 14% increase in job
